As reported earlier Kids Bike Taupo were finalists in the NZTA 2014 Cycle Friendly Awards. This of course was all down to the amazing Cath Oldfield and her supporters. While Kids BT did not win the award Cath attended and met people involved in promoting cycling from all over NZ. She came home quite happy that her program is the best of its kind and also became aware of some other funding options around road safety.

Cath’s calendar for the rest of the year looks like this:

14th November - 24 Hour fundraiser at Turangi (Not staying all night!)

22nd November - Kura Kaupapa Gala

23rd November - White Ribbon Event at Pihanga Reserve

28th November - Cycle Challenge, Urban Jungle Race

6th  December  -  Christmas Parade with Blue Light (Sandy taking van)

Plus, a school session somewhere every day until the end of term and turning teachers away as well!
