"The Petes" have been out scoping the proposed route for the next section of the GLT which will start at Waihora Bay and is only accessible by boat or helicopter. After this section of the trail is built, the new boat will be used to maintain those coastal sections of the trail, including pumping out toilets etc.

The track will go along the top of the cliff with views out over the lake.
