Some sad news, 

John Taylor, treasurer and enthusiastic track-builder for BikeTaupo, has passed away on Friday night at home.

The funeral is at Founders Chapel, crematorium at 2pm Wednesday 6 June.

John's instructions are for everyone to wear bright colours, he loved colours and hated the thought of people turning up in black at his funeral.
One of his son's will have a slide show of John's life.

John was not only the treasurer but spent many hours per week working on the tracks.

He did a huge amount of work on the Rotary Ride right from the beginning when we started building. He went through the track taking out the tree roots and getting all the water tables working. He then did the deviations above the ladder bridge to make the grades easier.

He rode the track most days and even had an article in the Dominion Paper on the work he did for us.
