Hello everyone
We are still at it, but just a different track. W2K is coming along and is shaping up to be a epic track to ride. We have built 2.6 Kms which is all open. If you want to help get on your bike and ride in and out and many times as you can, the track needs lots of bike traffic.
To get to the Kinloch start:
park at the Kinloch café, take the first left after the round about and follow that road around to Boojum Dell.
The track starts up the little water reserve on your left, you can’t miss it and if you do you're as blind as a bat.
Please don’t park in Boojum Dell - it will just upset the locals - plus there’s no coffee shop!
Remember its two way and will have lots of walkers so take it easy, and be friendly when passing
We will be doing a bit of a clean up in Wairakei and the Rotary Ride as soon as we get a wet day but most track seem to be in good condition just the grass and lot broom spot by the looks of things
Thanks to the local riders who are stopping and clearing off the branches on the tracks. One was spotted on the buzzard two weeks ago clearing the thinning branches of the track which was great to see, if everybody did that for a few minutes it would save us a lot of money and we could then build more new tracks
Pete Lockwood is working on a new track down the middle of Young Pines but still has more work to do.
Cheers
Pete. M
