Thanks to Hukafalls Jet and their well supported local’s day, Bike Taupo will be receiving $5,000 which will be used to create a series of structures beside Scragg’s track. The Hukafalls Jet Boardwalk will run on a downhill gradient next to the main track line, so you can choose to ride it or the track. The plan is to have it flow down with a range of humps and bumps and into a corner with a large wall to ride up, it will then connect back to the main track. There will also be a shorter link back to the main carpark for smaller children that do not want to ride down the berms at the base of Scraggs”

Eddie Dawkins, the well-known track cyclist World Champion, and Commonwealth Games medallist (along with his coach Anthony Peden), will be visiting Taupo on Saturday 21 March. They will be at the Northcroft Reserve, Lake Terrace, for a "meet & greet", and will chat and sign autographs.
It’s part of a motorbike ride they are doing around the central North Island, to raise awareness of dementia.
